The winner of this ATH AD500X vs ATH AD700X review is ATH AD700X for some obvious reasons. The main reason is, ATH AD700X simply has better sound quality and bass. Although the frequency response is quite low, the bass on these headphones is clean, quick, and tight.

ATH AD500X Review

Features: ATH AD500X has deep, forceful bass and exceptional vocal projection. With its newly developed 53 mm drivers with CCAW voice coils, you can get the best sound ever. Even more, the open-air headphones do not hurt the ears so you can have the best listening experience.

The aluminum honeycomb casing is light and airy for the ones who prefer carrying their headphones with them. In addition to that, the 3D Wing Support Housing adjusts to give comfortable support for a better listening experience.

The earpads are made of a flexible raised fabric that provides exceptional comfort and durability and that is probably the best thing we loved about ATH AD500X. The single-sided OFC (oxygen-free copper) cable with an elastic TPE covering is included to prevent tangling, and it is a huge lifesaver.

In the price, a stereo 1/8″ (3.5 mm) connector with a 1/4″ (6.3 mm) adaptor in gold plating is also included.

They are as light as a feather in terms of weight so we do not think that anybody would have a complaint about it. Although the headphones might slip down now and then, the wing system is great.

It will not disrupt you if you just let them sit on your head. Put them on and forget that your headphones even exist.  The clamp of ATH AD500X is adequate, but not exceptional. If you are looking for an affordable and lightweight pair of headphones, ATH AD500X is the one to buy.

These are both comfy and well-made, there is nothing average about these. However, since they have no noise cancellation and poor sound isolation, we do not recommend using them outside or in noisy places in general.

The ATH-AD700X is designed to provide a relaxing listening experience. They have a slight mid-range overabundance. They might be not as well-balanced as some of the higher-end headphones, but they record recordings with above-average quality. These are an affordable option for the ones on a budget after all.

The soft fabric-lined earpads of ATH AD500X are great for extended listening. On the other hand, the ear cups ofAD700X are large and padded with a soft cushion. So, if you have bigger ears, we definitely recommend AD700X since it will be most likely to suit bigger heads.

The thing with AD500X is, it is not really suitable for small heads and we did not really like the quality of sound when compared with AD700X. The sound was just not clear enough.
